Gov't Mule, Dec 30th, 2005. Or maybe 10/18/2006. Or 5/22/2006. One of those 3 dates anyway. Gov't Mule is the most under-rated band currently playing.

Bands I'd like to see but haven't yet - Warren Haynes solo (he's the lead singer of Gov't Mule), The Brain Damaged Eggmen and/or Bustle in your Hedgerow are high on the list.

I've seen Metallica a number of times, but it's pretty unlikely I'll ever see them again (barring being given free tickets and not having anything better to do that night). The best show was by far the one on the Justice tour (I'm old..). That's a band that has long past it's prime. Cypress Hill I got to see on their very first tour (again, I'm old) and it was great fun. I'd absolutely see them again, just for the hell of it.

I've heard good things about the latest Chris Cornell CD, though I'm a bit ashamed to admit I still haven't given it a listen.

Best so far.. The Dark Side of the Moon Live - Roger Waters.
But I wish something like "The Monterey International Pop Music Festival - 1967" is done again.

The highlight of the show for me was when Cypress Hill came on. That was insane how much love they got, you could "smell it in the air" ;).....

Best Concert I've Seen wasn't one of these Indie or Main Stream Bands . Nay, It was actually the Glendale Percussion Ensemble Back in May. The Dark Pounding Rhythm of the Taiko, The Whimsical Melody of the Marimba as Played by Banana Suit Man, and there was this thing with the DjunDjuns and Djembes that was Spectacular. And you know what, It was Free.

Hmmmm..........the best one I've ever seen is a toughie! I enjoy music festivals so you can listen to bands you don't normally hear.
That's why I enjoyed Virgin Festival this year--two days of great music and a venue in my backyard!

I've got a tie for best concert, Ween in Pontiac, MI (played for 4 hours straight!) or Parliment / Funkadelic in Pontiac, MI (played for 8 hours straight!). In an age where concert tickets will run around $30 for an hour and half show (if you're lucky), it's the bands to give you your monies worth I'm impressed with.

Excellent post Neha! I am so envious. I wish I knew about this! I spent my day in Palo Alto at BarCampBlock. I saw Rage when I was like 12 in Philadelphia. They got pretty rowdy :)

I saw Paul McCartney live in St. Petersburg, Russia in June of 2004. It was his 3,000th gig - and he played outside the Hermitage museum in Palace Square to 60,000 of us. It was during the White Nights - a time during summer when it really doesn't get dark.
Amazing.
People went nuts during "Back in the USSR"

I don't like rap at all. I don't like techno and mainstream RnB (old school only), but Duran Duran, Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Madonna are cool and would love to see them live. I love classic rock, alternative and indie :-)

Aaahhh, what a glorious show..sounds fucking epic. Wu-Tang is always incredible, as is Cypress, and oh what am I saying, all of the above groups are not to be underestimated. I hope you had fun. My favourite show of all time was a Beatnuts show in Hamburg, Germany, in the red light district, in a pub which held about 100 people. Sorry, good work, keep the site up, Peace!
