Nerd Bird no more
Well, the good news is that if you purchased The Force tea blend, it could now be seen as a collectors item. The bad news: I am no longer with Revision3.
I know, it comes as quite a shock. It did to me too, but somehow I think that you always do know somewhere deep down when your number is up. This wasn’t by my own choice, and I understand that sometimes business decisions can…well…lack of a better word, suck. The truth is, I wrote the blog about coming full circle after I had been let go. It was a way for me to talk about it, without really saying anything.
I do wish the folks at Revision3 the best, as it is a company of my friends. It was really fun doing a lot of the stuff I did, things that I may not have been able to do otherwise. I even learned how to fly a plane! It was a segment that never got to see the light of day, but the point is—-I did.
As for where I am going next…I have no clue. I’ve applied for some stuff around here and had some interviews. But, I guess I’ll just have to wait and see where I end up. And, yes, you all will be the first to know!
Until then, I am going to relax and pretend it’s summer break. Ahhh….

I (as well as most viewers) are totally going to miss you. Good Luck, and enjoy your break.
Well… that sucks…
As a fellow job seeker, I wish you all the best.
wow! I’m sorry to hear this, I enjoyed your clips on Revision3. Good luck on your future projects.
Good luck Neha. Your a smart and very pretty young lady. You have a lot o doors open. Persue your happiness and all will be gold. More i live life, the more i know thats true.
Good luck !
So sad to here your gone. You were truly amazing, i’m gonna miss your awesome segments. Hope everything goes well for you.
I just went through a similar situation about three months ago. So far it has actually worked out to have been a blessing after getting through the initial shock. Keep your head up!
All the best to you Neha. You’ll be just fine where ever your next journey takes you!
Neha, you will be missed. Good luck in your next venture.
I’m not sure why they let good talent go, but good luck with your future endeavors… cheers
Sorry to hear that you won’t be with Rev 3 anymore, Neha, you will be missed. Good luck.
I… I… I’m speechless
You will be missed indeed, Naha. I’m sure everyone reading this post will wish you all the best, as do I.
And excuse my inexcusable typo of your wonderful name.
shocking news… but I’m pretty sure better things will come your way, you are a brilliant and beautiful person, so I’m not worried about your future… and I’m sure most of the people here will follow you wherever you may go… =)
I don’t get it. You were one of the most professional and competent people at Revision 3. Maybe you were too good.
Aw, I wish you all the best, Neha… but I’ll miss your segments on Revion3’s shows. I think you kinda hinted at this in your tweets, so at least I was prepared.
Sorry to hear about that Neha. You have youth, brains, talent and beauty on your side. That’s a deadly combination in your industry and I have a feeling that you’ll land on your feet.
Neha that absolutely sucks that you are not with revision3. You were much better on Pop Siren that then annoying girl Mujan. Well I hope you the best in whatever you may do!!!
As long as I can still get my Neha video fix I will be happy to see you move forward! I see it as a great opportunity for you to find a more prominent role, as I feel you deserve it!
Totally weak… I will also miss your segments on Rev3. Unless you went postal ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NyIdw2btpQA ) or something, that’s a total dick move by Revision3 … you just got there
Good luck - all your net friends will be pulling for you
Consider this an opportunity. You’ve gained many contacts, friends, and fans, but the story doesn’t end here. Sometimes we mourn what we view as lost opportunity, but coveting the past doesn’t really gain us anything. You have far more opportunity then crisis, and an amazing dream to carry you thru this. I have a feeling this isn’t the end of nerd bird. Best of luck.
Neha,
You have my sympathies. I can imagine that leaving a job before you’re ready to go is like a kind of death. You don’t get a chance to put things in order nor do you have time to obtain closure on your terms. All you have is the shock of the event and the knowledge that things will go on without you.
It’s ok to cry, be angry, wonder what you could have done different, play through endless scenarios, etc. Don’t be afraid to take time to mourn the passing of this job because I’m sure it meant a lot to you.
However, the loss of job does not mean the end of a career. You have worked at two companies (CNET and Revision3) that are held in awe by myself, many who read this blog, and most of the tech-geek-nerd world. Many of us would kill to have your resume . . .
So, after you take a much needed break, go forward knowing how much value you have as an extremely talented and experienced writer and producer. I truly do believe that the sky is the limit for you, and I join everyone else in looking forward to whatever awesome opportunity you find next.
Weeping my endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.
Regards,
Anjuan
Roger says my jaw literally dropped when I found out.
We’ll miss you!!
Good luck Neha! We’ll be right behind you wherever you go.
I JUST started following your blog (mostly because I thought you were awesome and pretty unique on Rev3)… It’s ashame that you’re gone, especially if it’s not of your own free will… Wish you all the best!
Yeah, I noticed on your resume page that you had put an end date on your Rev3 employment instead of the typical “To Present.”
Media is tough like that and new media has got to be even tougher. “Last in First out” as they say.
Nerds “Heart” Neha too. Good luck little bird.
No!
This sucks, i’ll miss your segments.
Nooo!!
I hate business decisions. I really enjoyed you on Social Brew, and your brief stint on Pop Siren. You even answered my Fisherman’s Wharf question.
I am sad panda.
Good luck in the future, Neha! Stay smart, stay beautiful, stay nerdy, Nerd bird!
Lou.
Neha, It’s their loss and I will miss your segments. The best is yet to come for you! Greg
Revision3 fails.
You can do better than them.
You are one of my favorite personalities. You will be missed on Rev3, but I am sure you will do well in anything you decide to do. Hope to see you around the net still…
You and Your Segments Were Awesome…Good Luck with whatever is down the road! We’ll be waiting to see the Nerd Bird Fly Again
I hate to hear that I wish you the best in whatever you do.
NOOOOOOO!!!!!!! I am your number one fan!! And I even bought myself and my wife the camelpack like you suggested on Popsiren forums. I’m so sad!! I hope you end up on TV soon you are an awesome talented girl!
-Rene
Noooooooooooo! The only Indian in Revision3 is gone! =(
Only you and Moujan brought some ethnic flair to the network. Roger doesn’t count.
Good luck with all your future plans~.
- An Indo-Canadian
One adventure ends, another begins
Wish you all the best Neha !
Letting you go was a really bad decision on their part - but then again I’ve seen a lot of negative changes in Rev3 recently so maybe it’s a good thing getting out now before it goes the way of G4 (it kills me to admit it but it really is shaping up this way). At this stage I’d love to see you DIY your own podcast (who needs a network anyway!?) Whatever you decide to do, rest assured that your fans will continue to lend you their support. Take care and good luck in your future endeavours!!!
will truly miss your segments on Rev3.
I wish you the best of luck and enjoy your summer break.
Yes this sucks, but I wish you the best! and can’t wait to see where life takes you, just don’t forget to keep us posted.
Neha,
I wish you the best, but honestly think its a mistake on Revision3’s part.
But I have always looked at change as a positive, so be excited about the next adventure.
But yes it sucks though. Keep in touch on twitter.
Brad
It’s not right, it’s not right.
(trys to hold back the tears)
I was wondering why you got to sleep in all week.
(tears come out)
Its really hard to not hate Rev3 right now.
Just want you to know,
“Anywhere you go, I’ll follow you down”
Sorry if that sound stalkerish.
Best of luck to you, Neha.
Though I know you won’t need it!
No!! That sucks. Best of luck with everything and look forward to seeing what you do next.
Much love,
Michael!
It will definitely not be the same without you Neha. Good luck in your future endeavors, and keep us informed so your fans can keep following you girl!
NO WAY!!! I was seriously waiting for your own show to come.
But you know: when one door closes, a window opens…as corny as it sounds…
Good luck and hey, we’re still here and we’re goin’ nowhere….
Neha, “That”, as they say, “is show business”.
(We all will be following your career,I’m sure)
You were wonderful on the air at Rev 3 and you seem to be very smart about what you want, so I’m sure you will get an even better position at your next job.
Good luck
Neha,
I’m happy that you are on your own right now. You have an immeasurable talent and you will succeed in anything you do. I have seen your energy, and it’s incredible. Just seek with your heart, and everything will be gravy. <3×10000000
Warmth,
Your Mager
That Sucks, Well Hopefully you’ll find something way better. Take Care Neba.
Neha, so sorry to hear the bad news and best of luck in your next endeavors. If it’s any consolation, the exact same thing happened to me which led me to starting the site you were about to review. In short: much good can come of this if you let it.
All the best to you! Jonathan
Sorry to hear - I just “discovered” you on Social Brew, and enjoyed your segments (and learned a lot, too!). I’ll continue to follow you to see where you end up. In the meantime, best wishes on your path to the perfect opportunity!
Here’s hoping to see you on another vidcast soon.
I was shocked to hear this, It made me sad. You were so great at Revision3 & you really loved your job. How could they let someone go who has so much passion about their job.
I really enjoyed you in front of the camera & behind it, Your a natural talent that anyone would be glad to have. I wish you the best, I’m sure work will find you before you have to find it. I enjoyed the few segments I saw you in & of course the bloopers they hehe. Wish you all the best in the future.
Best of luck Neha,
Look forward to your future endeavors.
That really sucks…they couldn’t have instead got rid of that annoying zune guy that looks like Ted Haggard?
Anxious to see what you do next.
I’ve been there more times than I can count, and it almost seems par for the course with technology companies (which, in my opinion, is what Rev3 still is).
A wise friend of mine once said that self-doubt and self-evaluation are trademarks of the successful. As such, it’s right for you to have the kind of thoughts you have in this post and the “full circle” post as well.
You’ll figure it out. Just don’t feel like you need to stay in the bay area to do so. It’s easier now than it ever will be to pick up and look around.
such is the life of internet startups… you were great, and i wish you the best of luck
Wow
I am sorry to hear this, I wish I had a job to offer you right now. If you ever get bored I’d love to have you on my podcast as a guest - thegamingseers.com
take care and enjoy your free time,
- ryan kenward
OMG! I can’t believe you’re not at REV3!?! My son (who’s three) loved your how to make a light saber segment!!!
I know you’ll end up doing some great stuff!
Hi;
Also had a lot f time to catch up with my stack of marvel comic books.
Sorry to hear that you are no longer with Rev3. I recently went through the same thing but a month after I feel liberated and have taken the time to reevaluate my career and life instead of just rushing into yet another 5 to 9 job.Now I have time to do the thing I really care about and want to do. All the best for your future. And don’t worry once a nerd always a nerd
Regards
Shivam
I never saw the other shows you did but I liked you when you were in Tekzilla. It sucks they let you go.
